The Saludo Scan App is available for iOS and Android and works on both tablets and smartphones. You can find the app in the app stores via the following links:
• Saludo Scan App for iOS • Saludo Scan App for Android |
The first time you start the app, an internet connection is required. The app will also ask you for permission to use your camera.
Usernames and passwords? You don't need them! You can log in to the Saludo Scan App by scanning a QR code.
You will receive this QR code from the organization or from the Invitado employee who is present at the event location. Keep this QR code safe, because if you have to log in again (see below) you will need it again. Once you have scanned your QR code, the screen will turn pink-orange and you are ready to scan tickets. After logging in for the first time, you may be logged out again after a few seconds. This is normal. In that case, scan your QR code again.
When the screen is black-gray, you are logged out (again). This happens automatically for security reasons if you have not used the app for 5 minutes. You can also log out manually via the button at the bottom right of the app. You can log in again using the provided QR code.
If you have already logged in once and you have configured facial recognition or a fingerprint on your phone (a button will appear if this is available), you can also unlock the Saludo Scan App with it.
If multiple scanning activities are possible for your account and with your QR code, first select the correct activity after logging in. You can switch between the available activities via Status / Identity.
After scanning an e-ticket, there are three results possible:
1. Success (green)
2. No guests found (orange-pink)
3. Scan failed (red)
Scan in the dark
Is it dark in the room where you are scanning, and does it take a long time for the scanner to scan the QR code? Then you can switch on the flashlight of your phone from the app with the button in the middle of the screen:
Depending on the settings for the event where you are scanning, there is also the possibility to register guests. In that case, a Register button will appear at the bottom of your screen. Via this button you open a simple registration form, which can look like this:
If you have entered the visitor's details (fields with an * are mandatory) and saved the input via the black button, the guest is automatically scanned and allowed to enter.
You can always check the status of the app via the button at the bottom left of your screen. If it flashes with an exclamation mark, something is wrong. Click on the button and check what the message is.
Network - if it says offline there is no internet available at the moment. You can continue scanning, but if multiple scanning apps are active, it is possible that a ticket will be used more than once. Synchronization will automatically resume as soon as an internet connection is available again.
Event - the name of the event.
Identity - the number and location of the scanning app. Depending on the settings, you can see which guests are in and who is still expected by tapping on this line. This is also where you can switch between different scanning activities if they are available for your account.
Unconfirmed scans - the number of scans that have not yet been synchronized with the central registration database, for example because no internet connection is available.
